Fernie CP crossing closing for work May 15
CP Rail has indicated to the City of Fernie that it needs to perform maintenance to the rail crossing at 4th Street in town.
The rail crossing at 4th street will be closed for the day on Wednesday, May 15 from approximately 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
All vehicle and pedestrian traffic will need to use one of the city’s other two crossings at Mt. McLean or 13th Street to cross the tracks.
Following the track work, pavement repairs will be completed on Thursday, May 16, and may require an additional shut down of the track crossing.
Please use caution in the area around construction equipment and obey posted closure signs.
