FSA presents funds to Avalanche Canada
Beautiful day in downtown Fernie to meet up with winter friends!
The Fernie Snowmobile Association (FSA) was proud to present a cheque for $3,500 today to Avalanche Canada in support of the Avalanche Canada South Rockies Field Team who gather critical weather/snowpack information in our data sparse region and assist with public education and outreach.
This field work is essential to help the forecasters in Revelstoke create accurate public avalanche bulletins for our riding zones. Thank you to the valuable work these avalanche professionals do and to the sledders who helped raise these funds via trail pass sales and BBQ donations at our January Avalanche Awareness Days event.
