The City of Fernie this morning has advised residents via social media that the Outdoor Rink is closed until further notice due to warmer temperatures.

The rink has been closed since Saturday morning, but a failure to adhere to closures caused damage to the ice.

The rink will remain closed until temperatures drop and the ice can be repaired.

The City of Fernie reminds residents to please stay off the ice when the red flag is up (pictured above).
