On August 12, at approximately 10:55 a.m., Cranbrook RCMP and East Kootenay Traffic Services responded to a motorcycle collision on Jaffray Baynes Lake Road, near Jaffray. The collision occurred when a northbound Harley Davidson Motorcycle lost control and left the roadway.

The driver of the motorcycle, a 32-year-old male and local resident was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The RCMP’s East Kootenay Traffic Serves, SED Collision Reconstructionist Unit, and BC Coroners Service are currently investigating the collision to determine contributing factors in this collision.
