School District No. 5 (SD5) this morning reports students in Sparwood schools are being dismissed early due to power outages.

SD5 says it is concerned about adequate light and heat in the schools.

“We are unclear when power may be restored at this moment.  School staffs will be contacting parents to pick up their children and busses are being dispatched early for bus students.  Stay tuned for further updates,” the school district has stated on its webpage.
