Snow Valley Slam tourney June 2
Some serious roller derby action is coming your way.
Five teams will hit the track June 2 during the Snow Valley Slam in one day of non-stop derby action, with teams traveling from Saskatoon, Edmonton and Seattle to play.
Don’t miss out! This is the only time you will get to see roller derby in the Elk Valley in 2018.
Note: This year the tournament will be taking place in Sparwood due to the Fernie arena tragedy. For Fernie fans, don’t worry it’s not that far.
Tickets cost $5 and kids (under 12 are free). Games are at 12, 2pm, 5 and 7 p.m.
Avalanche City Roller Girls play at 5 and 7 p.m. Avalanche City BombsQuad Junior CoEd Team plays at 12 p.m.
The action runs Saturday, June 2 from noon to 8 p.m. at the Sparwood Arena.
The beverage gardens open at 2 p.m.
