Goats calling it quits with Spring Splash show

It’s can be a sad time of year for those who love plunging downhill on one or two pieces of wood.

The inevitable end of the ski/snowboarding season is fast approaching; despite how much snow may still be in your back yard.

To help curb the blues of the season coming to an end are the year-end parties and fun.

Kimberley Alpine Resort is sticking to tradition April 8/9, by hosting the annual Spring Splash and Dummy Downhill weekend.

The Cave Singers

On Saturday, April 8, at 5 p.m. in the plaza, the fun gets even louder with Spring Splash headliner act The Cave Singers, an Indie Rock/Indie Folk band from Seattle, Washington.

The Cave Singers are composed of former members of Pretty Girls Make Graves after its disbandment in 2007. Cave Singers, have released five albums since its formation in 2007.They bring in a vast assembly of instruments including the occasional jazz flute in front of two guitars, a drummer and a bassist. Their songs are all brought together by raspy, howling vocals of lead singer Pete Quirk.

The Hi -Strung Downers play Saturday and Sunday at 3 p.m. on the outside stage in KAR Plaza and Saturday evening at 7:30 p.m. in Stemwinder.

The Good Ol’ Goats will be headlining Sunday’s event at 4:30 p.m. with their FINAL performance together before setting off on new adventures.
