Choir presents annual seasonal concert

Seasonal music presented by the Kimberley Community Choir was enhanced Sunday evening, December 4, by the enthusiastic participation of audience members who filled the Kimberley United Church sanctuary (pictured here).

The annual holiday concert was led by the choir’s director Marta Zeegers (centre), who joined in duets with both Carol McCrae and Kirsten Guest. Erika Lehr shared her annual poem. And a men’s sextet further enlivened the event. The next evening, the choir repeated their concert at the Garden View Apartments for an equally involved and appreciative audience.

Choir members also include: Christina Philippe, Susan Wilde, Rand Davis, Ruedi Schuler, Carol Scott, Geoff Haynes (pianist), Dale Mather, Kathy Karchuk, Leslie Hanson, Dianne Cooper, Anita Clark, Barbara Roth, Kathleen Turcon, Bill Bale, Marjorie Laisnez, Barrie Peterson, Val Murley, Barb Thompson, Ellen Chase, John Allen, Mac Campbell, Paula Gordon, Donna Kraushaar, Esther Jacobson, Sand Spowart, Joy Stephenson, Andrea Prefontaine and Helen Robertson.

New members are always welcome to join the choir, which currently rehearses Monday evenings at 7 p.m. at Kimberley’s Anglican Church.
