City adds to administrative staff
After an extensive recruitment process, the City of Kimberley has hired Pamela Walsh as Manager of Community Development and Communications.
City chief administrative officer Scott Sommerville said the city is âextremely pleasedâ with the hire.
âPamela and her family have been living part-time in Kimberley for five years, and she has a deep understanding of what makes Kimberley so special. Pamelaâs extensive experience will be instrumental in supporting Kimberleyâs non-profit sector and enhancing city communications to our residents,â Sommerville said.
âStarting off, Pamela will be delivering projects such as the Childcare Programming and Facilities Gap Analysis and supporting the Kimberley Youth Action Network.â
Walshâs wealth of non-profit experience includes positions with the Childrenâs Legal and Education Resource Centre, Alberta Womenâs Entrepreneurs, and Junior Achievement of Northern Alberta.
Her education includes a Bachelorâs Degree in Political Science from Memorial University, a Dale Carnegie training certificate and a certificate in non-profit management.
