City thanking Stan Salikin

The City of Kimberley is publicly thanking and recognizing a resident this Thursday (August 11) for being such an involved citizen and volunteer.

“Stan Salikin has been involved in many campaigns to improve Kimberley and the lives of people through the Helping Hands Food Bank, Kimberley’s Splash Park, attending festivals and driving our city’s float, and Kimberley Chamber of Commerce events just to name a few,” the City of Kimberley stated in a short media release this afternoon.

Salikin (pictured above, left), also a Rotary Club of Kimberley member, is moving to Campbell River next weekend and the city would like to invite everyone to come out on Thursday evening to say “thank you” to him.

A short presentation will be held at the bandstand in the Platzl on August 11, at 6 p.m.
