First Saturdays Sept. 7 moves to Centre 64

Kimberley Arts Council is bringing its next celebration of arts, culture and heritage (First Saturdays) closer to home; to Centre 64 on Sept. 7.

Organizers are moving First Saturday to the outdoor space beside Centre 64 to accommodate the Kootenay Rockies Gran Fondo, taking place at the same time.

All the same great entertainment, art market, children’s activities and a few extras like an Elks barbecue, pickleball demo/try, and free children’s puppet workshop will be taking place.

First Saturdays is a monthly Festival of Arts, Culture and Heritage on the First Saturday of each month from July to October.

Art venues, restaurants, boutique shops in the Platzl and greater Kimberley area offer a variety of special activities including exhibition openings, theatre, live music, talks, tours, street happenings, food, train rides, historical and special events.
