IMRG Celebration coming to Kimberley

The Indian Motorcycle Riders Group (IMRG) is a group of motorcycle riders who own and ride Indian Motorcycles.

The new Indian Motorcycle Riders Group (IMRG) was introduced during Daytona Bike Week 2014. The I.M.R.G. provides Indian Motorcycle owners and their friends with special member benefits and the opportunity to connect with fellow riders.

Local I.M.R.G. chapters are formed in conjunction with Indian Motorcycle dealerships. Our goal is to get together and enjoy riding so we focus on our motto “Get out and Ride.” The chapters also helps the dealership host open houses, demo events, and charity rides

The groups, which are spread around the world, are supported by Indian Motorcycles through their local dealerships.

Indian Motorcycles are the oldest North American manufacture of motorcycles and was established in 1901

On July 26 through July 29 the four IMRG chapters from Western Canada will be converging on Kimberley. These chapters are from Langley, Edmonton, AB, Calgary, AB and Saskatoon, SK. The event is aptly named Western Canada IMRG Celebration.

The groups will be staying at the Trickle Creek Resort. Some of the activities planned are a Saturday banquet, a show and shine, a group ride to Nelson and a whole lot of socializing with others who are passionate of their Indian Motorcycles.

The significance of this first time event is in the numbers alone. It is the first time a number of the IMRG groups have got together and will be the largest gathering of Indian Motorcycles in Canada History.

Organizers say they expect about 100 people arriving for the celebration.

Chapter 1908 will be hosting a show and shine from 1 to 4 p.m. at The Sullivan Pub on July 28.
