Inaugural Sullivan Liaison Committee meeting June 16

Please join Teck for the inaugural meeting of the Sullivan Liaison Committee (SLC) on Wednesday, June 16.

The SLC will serve as a formal connection between the Sullivan team and communities of interest while assisting with engagement activity planning and implementation.

The public is invited to attend the Sullivan Liaison Committee meeting to learn more and discuss the Sullivanā€™s next 20 years and beyond.

ā€œSince closure in 2001, the Sullivan Mine has been carefully managed according to regulatory requirements, Teckā€™s own standards and the standards of the Mining Association of Canada. An active comprehensive management program is in place and work continues to address challenges related to more than 100 years of active mining at the site,ā€ Teck relates online.

ā€œThe Sullivan Mine currently employs more than 20 staff members and contractors. Ā A significant number of Teck employees as well as contractors and suppliers live and work in Kimberley, contributing to the ongoing responsible management of the now-closed Sullivan Mine. Our team takes great pride in maintaining strong community partnerships.ā€

The ZOOM meeting isĀ Wednesday, June 16 at 6 p.m.

Register for the meeting.
