Tax Relief for Businesses

The ‘Kimberley Investment Incentive Program’ provides opportunities for municipal tax exemption to encourage investment and upgrades to commercial and industrial properties. The program provides tax relief, for a specified term, from 100% of the increase in the municipal portion of property taxes resulting from the increased property value after a commercial, mixed residential-commercial, or industrial project is completed. Brownfield projects are also eligible for relief from 100% of the municipal portion of property taxes while a project involving environmental investigation or remediation activity is in progress. Visit our website or contact the Planning Department at 250-427-9665 or [email protected] for more details.
