Contacting City Hall
Kimberley City Hall is opened with several health and safety measures in place. Masks are required inside City Hall and at all indoor public places. Hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. and we will only be open for payments of utility bills, property tax, license fees, permit fees, and transit passes. Stay home if you are sick and leave children and pets at home if possible. At this time, the Planning and Operations Departments will hold meetings by phone or online conference as needed. New Province-wide COVID-19 Restrictions In Place
The City of Kimberley will be following all province-wide restrictions put in place by the Provincial Health Officer. Masks are now required in City Hall and all other public indoor spaces and retail spaces. City staff will enforce this requirement in all city-owned facilities. All other businesses and locations will be responsible for enforcement at their establishments. It is important to remember that not everyone can wear a mask due to medical and/or other reasons. Please ensure you wear a mask at all indoor locations if you can. Please do not call City Hall if you see someone who is not wearing a mask as the city has no authority to enforce the Provincial mask restriction outside of city-owned facilities.
There is also a travel advisory in effect. At this time, all non- essential travel should be avoided. This includes travel into and out of B.C. and between regions of the province. For example:
- Do not travel for a vacation
- Do not travel to visit friends or family outside of your household or core bubble

2021 – 2025 Financial Plan
Are you interested in learning about the city budgeting process? For the past month, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Jim Hendricks has been presenting to council and the public on the 2021 – 2025 Financial Plan at several special meetings of council. The 2021 – 2025 Financial Plan will be adopted in the Spring of 2021. For the next several months, the city welcomes residents to review the presentations and provide input into the city’s budgeting process. You can send feedback by email to [email protected]. BC Transit Superstar
The City of Kimberley would like to congratulate Carole Rausch, Office Manager for the Kimberley Transportation Society. Carol recently received the 2020 BC Transit Superstar Award! For 30 years Carole has been the office manager. She is available day and night for support and is respected and appreciated by everyone in the Kimberley office. Congratulations, Carol!
Lightship Public Inquiry Portal
Have you tried Kimberley ‘Lightship’ yet? If you want to report on an issue or concern in your neighbourhood, pop on the website and let us know how we can help! We will look into issues related to roads and sidewalks, lights and signage, or garbage and other city operational services. Check out this link to let us know what’s happening out there.
Planning Portal
The City Planning Information Portal contains an abundance of information for builders and property owners. Containing information related to maps, zoning, property searches, permits and licences, and related bylaws, the portal can be accessed from the city website shortcuts or by following this link.
Off Leash Areas
Did you know that Kimberley has three off-leash areas to exercise your pet? The Kimberley Nature Park, Lois Creek Trails and the Marysville Flats are all designated off-leash spaces. Maintaining control and cleaning up after your animal still applies in these three off-leash areas. If you are walking your pet in any other City park or playfield area, please remember that your animal must be on a leash at all times. To learn more, follow this link to Animal Control.
