Torch-lit ski an almost magical experience

An estimated 500 cross-country skiers enjoyed a New Year’s Eve Torch-lit ski thanks to the Kimberley Nordic Club and the Kimberley Junior Racers. The 3.5 km course was light with lanterns that made the experience almost magical. After the ski, participants enjoyed some sweet treats and warm drinks in the day lodge.
The club and junior racers would like to thank all those who attended and appreciate the community support of the Annual Torchlight Ski. The Junior Racers would like to thank the event sponsors – Kimberley Tourism, Kimberley Lodging Company, Kootenay Savings Credit Union, Spirit Rock Climbing Centre and Rockies Law Corporation. As well, a sincere thank you goes out to the many volunteers who supported the event and made it a success.
