Another successful Orange Door Campaign celebrated

Cranbrook Home Depot and the Ktunaxa Nation have once again teamed up, and have raised over $15,000 for Operation Street Angel.

Racheal Nicholas, Ktunaxa Nation Council Social Sector Urban Services Manager said, “2020 was a difficult year for many people in the Cranbrook region. The pandemic has had a major effect on people from all walks of life, particularly those who look to Street Angel for community, services and support. I am very pleased but not surprised that even during this difficult time, the people of Cranbrook still were willing to open their hearts to donate to the Orange Door Project.”

The Cranbrook Home Depot and Ktunaxa Nation Council have partnered through the Orange Door Project for the past five years raising a total of over $140,000 to help support the vulnerable and homeless populations in the Cranbrook area.

“On behalf of our staff and clients, I would like to thank Cranbrook Home Depot’s manager Tim Strauss and all his hardworking staff for their dedication to the Orange Door Project over these past years,” continued Nicholas. “The funds raised have a direct, positive impact on the lives of those who access services at Street Angel.”

The Ktunaxa Nation’s Operation Street Angel has provided services to the homeless and vulnerable populations of Cranbrook and its surrounding region since 2010, offering hot, healthy meals, nurse practitioner and mental health services, advocacy, employment and justice services.

The facility is located at 46 17 Avenue South in Cranbrook.
