Former Shuswap Band Chief passes
A long-time chief of the Shuswap Band passed away Friday, April 26.
Paul Ignatius Sam served as Chief of the Shuswap Band for more than three decades, leaving office in 2014 after being replaced by current Chief Barbara Coté.
A celebration of life is being held Tuesday, April 30 at the Akisqnuk Recreation Centre, starting at 4 p.m.
A service will also be held at Akisqnuk Rec Centre at 11 a.m. on May 1.
