Pacific Coastal Airlines this afternoon (May 15) announced it plans to resume air service between Cranbrook’s Canadian Rockies International Airport and Kelowna, with the option for customers to connect onwards to either Victoria or Vancouver, starting on Monday, June 1.

“It’s important to note that we will not be returning to ‘normal operations’ as we will be offering a reduced schedule with many enhanced safety practices to ensure the health and well-being of our customers, staff and the communities that we serve,” noted Johnathan Richardson, Pacific Coastal’s Vice President, Commercial Services in an email.

“Our intention is to help provide air service for essential service workers, move important goods and cargo, provide access for customers who need to travel for various medical appointments (unrelated to COVID-19) and continue to offer remote communities access to the essential service of air travel should they require it.”

Schedule details starting June 1:

• #1525 departing Kelowna at 13:50, arriving Cranbrook at 15:45 on Monday, Wednesday and Friday;
• #1526 departing Cranbrook at 16:40, arriving Kelowna at 16:35 on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
