City of Cranbrook council last night approved an amendment to the Flag Policy 20-02 to allow for the installation of a new flag pole at the Arches entrance to the downtown on 9th Avenue South, and to allow for the flying of the Ktunaxa Nation flag.

There is not currently a Ktunaxa Nation flag at this location and will require the installation of a new flagpole and the purchase of the flag.

The estimated cost of flagpole installation and purchase of flag is $3,650.
