Lieutenant Governor visiting local students

The Honourable Judith Guichon, Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia, is visiting schools in Cranbrook tomorrow.

The Lieutenant Governor will speak with students at Mount Baker Secondary School (8:45 a.m.), Parkland Middle School (10:15 a.m.) and Highlands Elementary School (1:15 p.m.) about Canada’s constitutional monarchy, encourage their participation in the nation’s democracy and share ideas about a healthy and sustainable future for all.

Each school is holding an assembly to host the Lieutenant Governor, visiting as part of Canada 150 celebrations.

To top off her day in Cranbrook, Her Honour will also attend the East Kootenay Regional Science Fair at the College of the Rockies, arriving at about 2:15 p.m.
