Northstar Ski Mo 2017 this weekend
New for the 2017 Northstar Ski-Mo Race we have a Poker Run format and obstacle course. It’s the same great race with a few added twists.
The race will start in the Kimberley Alpine Resort Plaza, follow the skin track up to Kootenay Haus and race the gates back down to the plaza collecting cards at stations en route. To complete the final card of the poker hand, participants will complete the obstacle course in the plaza. This is sure to be a crowd pleaser!
The atmosphere of the race will be extremely friendly and a great way to be introduced to the sport. Dress up attire encouraged – bonus prizes for best costume!
Kids can have a chance at the Ski Obstacle Course at 2 p.m. We are happy to announce the amazing donation of one half-week trip to Boulder Hut Adventures in 2018. This will be a draw prize worth $1,695 – all you have to do is complete the race within two hours.
The $25 entry fee includes a burger and beverage and a draw ticket for prizes.
Categories: Youth (17 and under); Male and Female Open (18-49); Masters Male and Female (50+).
Registration: 8:30 – 10:30 a.m. in Slopeside or register online or in Guest Services
Mandatory Safety Meeting at 10:30 a.m. in KAR Plaza.
Awards and prizes at the Ski – Mo Social in Stemwinder Bar and Grill following race.
Helmets required; no cross-country skis allowed.
