This year, venerable multi-platinum selling and Grammy-nominated band Smash Mouth will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of their debut, smash-hit album ‘Fush Yu Mang’ in Cranbrook, on June 15 at Western Financial Place.

It was Smash Mouth’s major- label debut and it went more than double-platinum around the world, setting the table for what most consider their masterpiece, 1999’s brilliant follow-up album ‘Astrolounge,’ boasted three global top-10 hits (‘All-Star,’ ‘Then The Morning Comes,’ and ‘Can’t Get Enough Of You Baby.’)

Sales for “Astrolounge” reached quadruple platinum status. ‘All Star’ and ‘Then the Morning Comes’ placed No. 1 consecutively on the Global Billboard charts, followed up with the honour of Band of the Year at the Grammy’s in 2000.

Smash Mouth, over the years, continue to enjoy heavy radio play and have gone on to be featured in dozen of movies including the wildly popular Shrek series; while they continue to headline summer festivals around the world.

In 2017, we mark 20 years of Smash Mouth and its time to recognize this milestone year. The Sam Steele Days Ultimate Beach Party will do that in grand fashion.

Smash Mouth will arrive from San Jose on June 15, with very special musical guests, that will have Cranbrook fans on their feet.

Expect giant glowing beach balls, poolside drinks, LED screens, and music that marks the beginning of summer and a smashing start to Sam Steele Days.

Tickets start at $29.95 each in the special family zone and will stay moderately priced at $39.95 on the beach deck in front of the stage.
