An evening fundraiser with Olympian Beckie Scott
The Fernie Nordic Society (FNS) invites you to help us celebrate the kickoff our biggest year yet!
The weekend of December 6 will be the official opening of the Elk Valley Nordic Centre (weather dependent) and we invite you to join us in celebrating this momentous event and to raise funds for the continued trail expansion project, growth of the KidsSkill Development Program and the purchase of additional equipment.
The celebration will take place on Dec. 6, at 7:30 p.m. at the Fernie Golf and Country Club. The event will feature a presentation by Beckie Scott, cross-country skiing Olympic Gold Medalist at the 2002 Salt Lake City Games and Silver Medalist at the 2006 Winter Olympic Games in Turin, Italy.
You will be able to enjoy an assortment of desserts, a cash bar, cheese fondue and a chocolate fountain provided in partnership with Bridge Bistro. There will also be a silent auction/raffle throughout the evening.
Tickets are $40 per person if purchased prior to December 2 and $50 thereafter. Tickets are available at Fernie Blueprint (above Board Stuff), the Guides Hut and Straight Line in Fernie or through our website www.fernienordic.com (additional processing fee applies).
