Chamber readying for busy Canada Day

The Kimberley & District Chamber of Commerce is preparing for a busy Canada Day celebration.

Live entertainment is scheduled throughout the afternoon starting at noon, with a cake cutting at 3:30 p.m.

Please bring a lawn chair as the Kimberley Community Band will require the Platzl chairs for their performance.

Entertainment will include music from The Pursuits, Dustin Mousseau, and the Kimberley Community Band. We are pleased to have the Bloodline Singers drum group from the ?aqam First Nation adding to the celebration.

Please contact the Chamber office for more information at (250) 427-3666, and we look forward to having a great turnout in downtown Kimberley.

Other chamber notes

The graduating class of 2014 will be conducting a prom procession through the Platzl on June 27.

The chamber congratulates the graduation class of 2014 and wish them the best in their future endeavours.

Thank you for all the participants, presenters and volunteers who made the Kimberley Ambassador program a success.

We had over 40 people in attendance and we thank all of the businesses who allowed their staff to attend this session to learn more about Kimberley, and the impact our front-line staff make to our online presence and our visitors experience.

We plan to conduct another session in the fall and focus on winter activities and events, and share more best practices.
