Man faces robbery, assault charges
On June 27, at about 9:10 p.m., Cranbrook RCMP was dispatched to multiple reports of a disturbance/assault between a male and female occurring at the 300 block of 2nd St South in Cranbrook.
The officers attended and observed obvious injury to a female who was taken to the East Kootenay Regional Hospital where doctors initially suspected a broken orbital bone.
The suspect boyfriend was identified and later arrested. It is believed alcohol to be a contributing factor. The suspect male is facing charges of robbery and assault causing bodily harm.
