The Cranbrook and District Arts Council Presents ‘The Lost and Found Art’ of Toronto Artist Victorine Kierstead July 2nd – July 12th

Having been locked away, hidden for many years, this collection of paintings resurfaced when a Creston resident attended the auction of a storage locker.  We all hear of finding a painting in the attic or some far and forgotten corner but imagine finding a storage locker full of boxes of paintings.   This is what happened to Tracie Truscott’s mother (Marj) when she attended a sale of the contents of a locker in Creston.  In the boxes she purchased, were over one hundred drawings and paintings by Victorine Kierstead. This exhibit will be on display at the Gallery from Wednesday July 2nd to Friday July 12th. Gallery Hours: Tuesday – Friday 11am to 5pm and Saturday 10am to 2pm. For more information contact Marisa Phillips – CDAC Administrator at: 250-426-4223 or email: [email protected]
