Obituary for Cullis Knox GRAHAM
Cullis Knox GRAHAM
November 24, 1928 – May 18, 2016
A long time resident of Sioux Lookout, Cullis Knox Graham, passed away at the Elk Valley Hospital in Fernie, BC on Wednesday, March 18, 2016 at the age of 87. Cullis was born in Port Arthur, ON on November 24, 1928 to parents Harry and Edna Graham.
Cullis loved Ontario and his Sioux Lookout hometown. Anyone who knew Cullis, also knew how passionate he was about fishing. Fishing was his life! Cullis could spend hours on the waters, patiently waiting for his next catch.
Before his retirement, Cullis worked as a Conductor for CN Rail for 33 years and was affectionately known as “Packsack”. He was also a proud member of AA for 50 years.
In August of 2015, Cullis made the difficult decision to leave Sioux Lookout and moved with his wife Jeanne to Baynes Lake, BC. To his surprise, Cullis settled in nicely; once again having a lake view from his home, making his final days peaceful and content.
Cullis is survived by his wife of 24 years, Jeanne Graham, his children: Bruce Graham, Elaine Graham, and Nancy Graham, step-children: Annette Kallies, Marie (Jim) Cosens, Therese (Les) Loef, and Roger Savoie, 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Cremation was held, and Cullis will once again return to Sioux Lookout where he will be interred next to his mother Edna. A Celebration of Life date and location in Sioux Lookout will be announced when arrangements are finalized.
