Donna Lynn Taillon (nee Allan)
1953 – 2013
Donna passed away peacefully in Invermere, British Columbia on Thursday, December 5th, 2013 at the age of 59 years surrounded by her family, after a long courageous battle with cancer.
Those of us left to celebrate her life include Conrad, her loving husband of 36 years; sons Trevor and Shawn (Nicole); daughter Kerry (Stephen); grandchildren Brendon, Kolby, Spencer, Kayla and Chloe; parents Victor and Marion Allan; sister Patricia (Lon); brother David (Karen) and families and numerous loving friends.
Donna was born on December 27th, 1953 in Calgary, Alberta and raised in Edmonton. She met and married Con, the love of her life in Calgary on March 5th, 1977. For the next 20 years, being a military family, they lived throughout Ontario, Germany and eventually making their way back to Calgary. Approaching retirement they built their dream home in Invermere where family gatherings and grandchildren became the centre of her life. She will always be fondly remembered for her love of family, music, nature and life.
The family would like to thank all of her friends for their wonderful support during her cancer journey. We would also like to recognize and thank Dr. Mannheimer, the nurses and support staff at the Invermere Hospital.
Family and friends are welcome to join us in a celebration of Donna’s life, held at the Priddis Greens Golf and Country Club on Monday, December 16th from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation can be made to the Ovarian Cancer Society atwww.ovariancanada.org.
