Obituary for Eva Whitnack

It is with deep sorrow that the family of Eva Whitnack announces her passing on January 22, 2014 in Cranbrook, British Columbia at 84 years of age.

Eva was born to the late Einar and Mathilda Jordahl on August 23, 1929 and raised in Coronation, Alberta. Eva fell in love with the late Edward Lee Whitnack who was also raised in the Coronation area and they were married there on June 26th, 1947. They raised their family there and in 1970 Ed and Eva moved to Summerland. In 1981 Ed passed and Eva moved to Sylvan Lake until 1990 and then moved to Marysville.

Eva was an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary in Coronation and Summerland, She enjoyed working and beautifying her yard and having family get togethers at every opportunity where she could show her loving and giving nature to all her family.

Eva is survived by her 4 children daughters Carol Venables and Diana Carnahan of Marysville, sons Larry (Brenda) of St. Albert and Ken (Joanne) of Sooke, 8 grandchildren, Teena (Sonny) Montgomery, Cody Carnahan (Crystal), Robert Carnahan, Lee Whitnack (Judy), Tammy Whitnack, Clayton Whitnack, Jim Whitnack (Dajana), Kelly Whitnack (Sarah), 17 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, sister Anna Carl of Red Deer and brother Ted (Donna) Jordahl of Castor, and lots and lots of wonderful nieces and nephews; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents Einar and Mathilda Jordahl, husband Edward, 6 brothers Victor, Norman, Roy, Johnny, Tommy and Raymond, 3 sisters Dorothy, Helma Twila, and son-in-law Raymond Venables and other family members.

There will be a memorial luncheon for Eva in the spring as Mom would not like anyone driving in the winter.

Thanks to all nurses doctors, friends and especially the Home Care Nurses and all the wonderful ladies who helped Mom over the last few months.
