It is with deep sorrow that the family of Betty Jean Olofson announces her passing on Friday, January 18, 2013 in Cranbrook, British Columbia at 77 years of age.
Betty was born on June 20, 1935 in Couer d’Alene, Idaho. Many people will remember her from the Lancaster’s convenience store 7 to11. Betty will sadly missed by her family and many friends. She will never be forgotten and will always be dear to our hearts.
Betty is survived by her son Larry Amell of Couer d’Alene, Idaho; daughters Karen (Ron) Gilbert of Roseville, California, Shannon Olofson of Cranbrook, Tammy (Ward) Potter of Cranbrook; step-daughters Penny Simpson of Cranbrook and Joanne (Dean) Hodgson of Mexico; grandchildren Abby (Matthew) Huber and Nicholas Gilbert of Roseville, California, Nicole, Dustin Luke, Raquel Luke, Brooke Potter, Randy Potter, Katie Lomeland of Portland, Oregon and Dustin Lomeland; sisters Marlene Parnell of Tenison, Texax, Linda (Norman) Sietz of Anchorage, Alaska, Terrie (Alan) Gessner of Couer d’Alene, Idaho and many more nieces and nephews and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents Marvin and Ethel Amell and her husband Nels Olofson.
