Henry Bowe
1938 – 2015

Henry Bowe passed away at his home in Cranbrook the morning of Saturday, June 13, 2015.

He was born in Williams Lake on May 28, 1938, the son of Gilbert and Edith (nee Pinchbeck) Bowe.

Henry walked many paths in his 77 years on earth, as a bartender, faller and skidder operator in the logging industry and also working in lumber mills. He also was a rodeo competitor for 25 years during this time.

Henry, Nancy Jim and Vicki moved to Cranbrook in 1988, and Henry began a new adventure. In recent days he could be found tending to his garden and flowers. He has left behind a legend to be proud of.

Henry is survived by loving wife Nancy Cox of 41 years; his sister Ivy and brother Ivan; children Marlon, Rhonda, Stacey, Rona, Hailey, Rosalie, Vicki and Jim; and cousins, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Henry was predeceased by his father Gilbert Bowe, mother Edith Bowe, brother Gilbert Bowe, sister Gladys Bowe and sons Merlin Bowe and Tyler Bowe.

A celebration of Henry’s life will be held at 310 – 27th Avenue South in Cranbrook on Friday, June 26, 2015 at 4:00 pm.
