In the late afternoon of Wednesday, May 20, 2015, Marilyn Anne Campbell (nee Milne) passed away at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital at the age of 72 years. Marilyn was born in Cranbrook on December 19, 1942.
Growing up in Chilliwack, BC Mom always enjoyed bowling and later switched to curling when she returned to the Kootenays in the early years of her marriage. In her later years, she took up golf and spent many enjoyable rounds of golf with her friends. Mom was always a very sociable person and would do anything for anyone. She loved her children and her grandchildren deeply and enjoyed any time she could spend with them. Her one most beloved companion was her dog, Jack. She will be sorely missed by all who were privileged to know her.
Marilyn leaves to mourn her passing her two children; one son Scott (Dianne) and her daughter Carmen (Joe) as well as five grandchildren; Matthew Campbell, Dustin Campbell, Amanda Gnucci, Tayler Gnucci and Meghan Campbell. Marilyn also leaves one great grandson Lukas Campbell, one sister, Susan (Sam) Gopal and her friend and former spouse, Larry Campbell.
A Celebration of Life for Marilyn will be held at a later date.
