Schmidt, Peter

On the morning of Friday, September 4, 2015, Peter Schmidt passed away at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital with his family at his side at the age of 76 years.  Peter was born on March 26, 1939 in Nas.Breznica, Yugoslavia.

Peter leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 26 years, Eileen (Bellamy) Schmidt and Peter’s sons; Brad Schmidt of Leduc, Alberta and Jason Schmidt of Mission, BC.  He also leaves behind one grandchild Jessica (Russel) Harder and one great grandchild; Dominik Harder.  He also leaves behind Eileen’s family; three sons, Dennis (Laura) Rymut of Slave Lake, Alberta, Carmen (Jane) Rymut of Mission, BC and Gary (Amanda) Rymut  of Slave Lake, Alberta and three daughters; Pam Rondeau , Bev (Ed) Cameron and Ruth (Floyd) Isley , all of Bonnyville, Alberta as well as 17 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.  Peter leaves behind his mother; Mary Schmidt of Mission, BC and sisters; Rose Girard of Kelowna and Katarina Hebold of Mission , BC.  Peter was predeceased by his father; Martin Schmidt and one brother Adam Schmidt.

A memorial for Pete took place in the home of Peter and Eileen on Sept 5, 2015 with family and friends present.   Condolences may be left for the family at www.markmemorial.com.
