Irene Pavlis

1923 – 2015

It is with deep sorrow that we announce that Irene Pavlis, a long-time resident of Cranbrook, passed away at East Kootenay Regional Hospital on Thursday, February 19, 2015.

Irene was born on April 17, 1923 near Lipton, SK where she was raised and attended school. In 1953 Irene married Nicholas Pavlis in Cranbrook. Irene worked for many years at the RCMP Detachment in Cranbrook as a matron. She was famous for her GREAT perogies!

Irene was predeceased by her parents, five brothers and her husband Nicholas (1974). She is survived by her son Robert (Sue) Pavlis, numerous nieces and nephews and two sisters-in-law.

Irene will be interred in Westlawn Cemetery next to her husband Nicholas.
