Obituary of James Ted Garner
James ‘Ted” Garner
It’s with a heavy heart I share the passing of my step-dad, James ‘Ted’ Garner. Ted passed away suddenly on Wednesday November 5th at home. Ted was born on September 11, 1960 in Kamloops to Harold and Valerie Garner, and grew up in Revelstoke BC.
Ted spent 39 years working for CP Rail where he was a dedicated and respected member of the team. He made many lifelong friends over the years with the company.
Ted’s true passion lay in the great outdoors. He found joy in fishing, hunting, huckleberry picking and camping. He also enjoyed travelling, especially going to Mexico. Ted was a very social guy and loved to get together with friends for a beer. He will always be remembered for his willingness to help others, his positive attitude, and always having a smile on his face.
‘Love you like a Dear’
Ted was predeceased by his father Harold Garner, and wife Christie Garner.
He is lovingly remembered and survived by him mother, Valerie Garner and step-daughter, Amanda McQuarrie.
A gathering for Ted will be held at a later date.
