Patrick Francis Doherty, 85, passed away peacefully at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital in Cranbrook BC on February 4, 2014.  Patrick was born May 14, 1928 in Trail BC.

Patrick is predeceased by his parents Elizabeth and James Doherty.   As well as his brothers Tony, Jack, Tom and sisters Maureen and Jean.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his son Danny and daughters Kathy, Connie (Norm).  Grandchildren, Jennifer (Pete), Paula, Heather, David, and Taylor.  Brothers Hughie (Shirley) and David (June).  Sisters Bernadine, Theresa (Harvey) and many other loving family members and friends.

As a young man Patrick moved to Vancouver where he was employed at The American Can Company for 45 years as a runway mechanic.  Twenty-two years ago, Patrick moved to Cranbrook and it was there that he spent countless hours fishing, hunting and enjoying the beauties of nature.  Methodically organized, Patrick had a particular spot for everything in his garage, where he loved to tinker and whistle the day away.  He was a man whose stories, songs and engaging smile turned strangers into his friends everywhere he went.

Patrick, we will cherish precious memories of you in our hearts forever.  We love and miss you, rest in peace.
