Willena was born on February 17, 1933 in Dominion, Cape Bretton, Nova Scotia and passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at East Kootenay Regional Hospital in Cranbrook at 84 years of age.

Willena is survived by her loving husband Gilbert of 64 years; her sons Richard (Carol), John (Kerry) and Todd all of British Columbia; her loving grandsons Blake (Rhonda) and Brodie (Kara) and their children Connor, Macie and Maddox all of whom Gramma/Great Gramma loved and loved to talk to anyone about; her brother George Higginbotham and sister Iris Carlson, both of Surrey, BC; as well as many friends and family across Canada. Willena was predeceased by her mother Margaret Higginbotham, her sister Muriel Mac Cormack and her brother Alfred “Alf” Higginbotham.
