Foster, Yvonne Marguerite (nee Berger)

Nov 21, 1938 – Feb 22, 2017

On the morning of Wednesday, February 22, 2017, Yvonne Marguerite Foster (nee Berger) passed away at Joseph Creek Care Village in Cranbrook at the age of 78 years.  Yvonne was born on November 21, 1938 in Vancouver, BC to Jack and Mildred Berger.

Yvonne was a kind soul with a very funky sense of humour.  She loved everyone – especially her family.  Yvonne was very involved in Realm and spent every Monday night at the First Baptist Church with this group.  Her favorite saying was “And I said in a nice way…”

Yvonne lived in many different places during her life until finally settling in Cranbrook.  She truly enjoyed knitting and music.

Left to cherish her memory is her beloved husband of 17 years, Norman as well as one brother Walter (Trudine) Berger of Courtney, BC and one sister, Linda Hallgren of Cranbrook.  She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.  Yvonne was predeceased by her parents, Jack and Mildred Berger.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Yvonne at 918 Kootenay St. N., UPPER LEVEL on Thursday, March 2 2017 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.  If friends desire, memorial donations may be made in Yvonne’s memory to REALM, 918 Kootenay St. N., Cranbrook, BC   V1C-3V3.
