Murry Howard PFEIFER

Obituary for Murry Howard PFEIFER

JANUARY 4, 1956 ~ JULY 27, 2018 (AGE 62)

It is with great sadness the family of Murry Pfeifer announces his passing. Murry passed away suddenly, surrounded by his daughters and their families in Vauxhall, AB on July 27th at the age of 62.

Left to mourn his passing are his two daughters: Jennifer (Clayton) Crowson and their children Caylee, Cash and Chance, and Sara (Casey) Crowson and their children Darian, Payton and Kara; his siblings: Betty (Leon) Gagne, Waldon (Laura) Pfeifer and Lorne (Karen) Pfeifer as well as many aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and very special friends. He was predeceased by his parents Ron & Alvina Pfeifer, and most recently by his very best friend and companion, his dog Sam.

Murry was born in Kamsack SK and lived in Atikokan ON, and Fernie BC before moving to Hays, AB with Sara about 10 years ago to be closer to Jennifer and her family.

Over the years Murry had different jobs; milk delivery as a young man, a coalminer in Fernie, and owning/operating Fas Gas (where he met and employed many special people), and then in the Oilfield driving a water truck. Murry made many friends over the years as well as some fond memories; being stories told or jokes played on each other.

Murry loved hunting, fishing and camping, watching movies, listening to music and keeping in touch with friends & family on Facebook.

Murry will be remembered mostly for his kind and giving nature, and always having an ear for listening and a shoulder to lean on. He will also be remembered for his zest for life, and his love for his girls his grandkids, and everyone around him.

Murry was a generous man; in honour of his giving heart & spirit, in lieu of flowers, please “Pay it Forward”.
