With great sadness we announce Anna Maria Raunig passed away peacefully on Monday, March 5, 2018, at the age of 83, leaving her family and friends to mourn her loss and celebrate her life.

Anna was born on December 31, 1934, in Germany. She moved to Canada in 1958 where she met her husband Joseph, and raised her children with him in Ancaster, Ontario. In 1989 they moved to Kimberley, BC, where she made many new friends.

Anna was predeceased by her grandson Matthew, and her husband of 57 years Joseph Raunig who passed away on February 4, 2017, at the age of 89. We are comforted by the thought that Anna and Joseph are together again.

Anna is lovingly remembered by her two sons, Robert (Joni), and Bernard, two sisters Frieda, Victoria “Dorle”, one brother Hans and by her large extended family in Germany.

A funeral service for Anna will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 14, 2018, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Kimberley. Anna will be interred in the Kimberley Cemetery Columbarium on Monday, April 16, 2018, at 11:00 am.
