George was born in Kimberley, BC, where he lived, met, and married the love of his life Ruth (nee Lindquist). George worked for the city of Kimberley, as an agent for several Cranbrook bulk gas and oil companies, and in retirement enjoying his job as an airport security officer. Dad loved fishing, camping, playing guitar and harmonica, and just spending time with his family; he was also a proud veteran of the Korean War.

George is survived by his loving wife Ruth, son Michael, a daughter Terri (Darrell) and youngest son Douglas (Connie), and their family Travis (Kim), Amanda (Austin), Carley (Arthur) and all of their wonderful children.

George was predeceased by his brother Norman and his sister Dorothy.

At George’s request there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of BC & Yukon, Okanagan/Kootenays Area Office, #4, 1551 – Sutherland Avenue, Kelowna, British Columbia, V1Y 9M9, would be appreciated.
