Michael John ” Mike” Mckinnon

It is with sadness that on Friday, May 10th, 2019 Mike, a loving husband and father of four beautiful children passed away. He was surrounded by his loving family while he lost his battle with cancer at the age of 56.

Mike was born in Cranbrook, B.C on April 17th, 1963. Mike met his true love Michelle and on September 24, 1994 they got married .Together they raised twin boys Peter and Bryce as well as their two girls Alexia and Hailee.

Mike was passionate about his family and spending time making memories to cherish. Mike loved fishing in his spare time. During his career he had a logging company and drove a logging truck for over 30 years mostly for Galloway lumber which he loved doing.

Mike is survived by his loving wife Michelle his children Peter McKinnon Bryce(Amy) McKinnon, Alexia McKinnon and Hailee McKinnon his sisters Debbie (Roland) Ozolins, Sherri Pointer, Suzie(Dean) Koran and brother Larry(Marilyn) MacKinnon. 16 nieces and nephews also 19 great nieces and nephews.

Mike is predeceased by his father Lawrence (Pete)McKinnon his mother Bernice McKinnon and his sister Terry Pocha.

A memorial service to honour Michael’s life will take place Saturday, May 25th, 2019 at 10:00 AM at the Cranbrook Alliance Church
