Obituary for Orval Lyle Stanley
STANLEY, ORVAL LYLE
JUNE 8, 1935 – MAY 31, 2018
Orval was blessed to spend the past six weeks being cared for in his home amongst his loving family and having the comfort of his loyal pets, Tiki, Jules and Tori. Orval was predeceased by his loving wife, Carol on December 3, 2016 after 58 years of marriage.
Orval was a proud family man who would go to any length to help and support his family. His wealth of skills and knowledge never ceased to amaze us, there was rarely a problem that we could throw at him that he wasn’t able to advise us on. He will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, which included hunting, fishing and camping. he was proud of his beautiful yard and garden. He also spent many years volunteering with the ambulance society and working at the Kimberley Curling Club.
Orval will be lovingly remembered by this three daughters, Penny (Neil) Larson, Patty (Mike) Raeburn and Susan (Randy) Cleverley. “Bumpa” will be remembered by his grandchildren, Nicole (Chad) Koran, Sonya Larson, Andrew (Samantha) Raeburn, Corey (Trisha) Raeburn, Lindsay (Inook) Levesque and Katelyn (Phil) Boryniec; and great grandchildren Braiden, Joey, Jax, Kaleb, Skarlett, Kasper, Juniper and MacKenzie.
Our family extends our thanks and gratitude to the many people involved with dad’s care during his final days. Doctors, nurses, home support care aides and paramedics. Your respectful and compassionate care will not be forgotten.
