It is with great sorrow that the family of Ron Buckingham announces his passing on Saturday, September 8th, 2018.

Ron passed peacefully with his loving wife Joan and family by his side. Ron is also survived by his only brother Reg.

Ron was born in Berwyn, Alberta on April 6th, 1934 and was a long-time resident of Cranbrook. Ron worked at BC Hydro until his retirement in 1994. Ron’s passions were camping, fishing, playing the family game of Aggravation, throwing horseshoes, and teaching all his kids, grandkids, and great grandkids his favorite campfire songs.

A service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, September 16th, 2018 at McPherson Funeral Home, 2200 – 2nd Street South, Cranbrook. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to Cranbrook’s Operation Street Angels or the Salvation Army.
