Siega, Grace Cowey (nee Wardrope)

Feb 28, 1933 – Apr 4, 2017

On the morning of Tuesday, April 4, 2017, Grace Siega passed away at the Kimberley Special Care home at the age of 84 years.  Grace was born in Yahk, BC on February 28, 1933, one of two daughters born to Jock and Ruth Wardrope.

Grace was an excellent student and excelled at her studies as a young girl.  She held a management position position at the Hudson Bay but once she married Leo and had her children, she became a full time mom.  Leo and Grace were blessed with two children, John and Sandi.  Grace was an avid reader and loved to bowl, do crossword puzzles and volunteer at the Kimberley Hospital.

Grace is survived by her children:  John and Sandi Siega (Kevin McAuley); her granddaughter Aria Siega and one sister Rae Diedrich.  She also has left behind her special niece and nephew, Linda (Bob) French and Steve (Kathleen) Diduck.   Grace was predeceased by her husband, Leo in 2014.

A Tea celebrating the life of Grace will be held at Garden View Village in Kimberley at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, please take a moment and share an act of kindness with someone.  That is what Grace was all about.
