Obituary of Andrew OSBOURNE
Andrew OSBOURNE
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Andrew Osbourne, aged thirty-nine. Andrew died unexpectedly at work on November 19, 2025 in Sparwood, British Columbia. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, son, uncle, and friend.
Andrew was born to parents, Millicent and Don on October 28, 1986 in Baie Verte, Newfoundland. The family moved to Sparwood in 1990 where Andrew fit right into the community and made many lifelong friends. Andrew met his soulmate Samantha in 2003, and they married in 2014. They combined their families and had two more children together.
Andrew never shied away from hard work and enjoyed working beside his dad and brother-in-law every day. He loved spending time with his wife and kids, playing and coaching softball, and spending lots of time outdoors hunting, fishing and occasionally mud-bogging. He had a particular soft spot for square body Chevys. Andrew will be remembered most for his loyalty and generosity. No matter what the circumstance or time of day, he never hesitated to lend a hand. He would always be there for a friend in need of a jumpstart, a spare tool, or help in getting an animal out of the bush. Andrew’s kindness, silliness, and big heart have left a lasting impact on everyone around him.
Andrew is survived by his wife, Samantha Osbourne; children: Abbigail, Domonic, Sierra, Zachary and Emery; grandma, Joan; parents, Don and Millicent Osbourne; sister, April (Chad) Roberts and their children Allison (Nick), Sophia, Damian and Phoenix; mother and father in-law, Rhonda and Scott Corrigan; brothers-in-law, Shawn, and Chris Corrigan, and grandmother-in-law, Hilda Cadorath. He will be greatly missed by many relatives, friends, colleagues, and teammates. Though his time here was far too short, the love, laughter, and loyalty he shared will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew him.
A celebration of life will be held on December 13, 2025 at 1:00 at Cherished Memories with reception to follow.
The Osbourne and Corrigan families would like to thank the Mine Rescue teams who worked tirelessly to help in the search for Andrew, and they ask that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Jumpstart.
