Obituary of Clarence Einar Lindquist

Clarence Einar Lindquist

September 9, 1941  –  November 29, 2025

Clarence was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta with his brother and childhood best friend Ed. He had a long career as a BC Tel Electrician, working all over BC and Alberta before retiring to Marysville.

Clarence spent almost 40 years with his wife Roxanne. Their lives were full of family, friends, and travel, with many road trips and flights Clarence’s plane.

Clarence was a member of Scandinavians of East Kootenay Viking Lodge and was proud of his Swedish roots. He loved his weekly coffee gatherings and Saturday breakfasts with friends. He appeared as Santa in the Platzl at Christmastime for over 20 years, and will be fondly remembered by many folks who grew up in Kimberley over the years.

Clarence is survived by brother Edwin, Roxanne’s children Glynis, Shaun, and David, and grandchildren Caitlin, Kelli, Megan, Ian, Ryan, Erica, Riley, and Jamie.

Clarence was predeceased by his father Einar Lindquist, mother Ellen Lindgren, wife Roxanne Harper, and Roxanne’s son Michael.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 17, 2026 at McPherson Funeral Home Chapel in Cranbrook.
