Obituary of Dale Irvin Thompson
Dale Irvin Thompson
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dale Irvin Thompson. He was born on June 19, 1954 in Cranbrook, B.C. and passed on June 8, 2025, in Cranbrook, B.C.
He was predeceased by his devoted partner, Rita Bohme, and will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Brenda Thompson, Amber (Michael) Yawney, his former partner Gloria Marquis, his grandchildren, Miles and Hudson, his brother Lee (Judy), numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Dale enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, long rides on his motorcycle, muscle cars, fishing, camping, target practice, movies, and to-do lists. Dale had a love for all animals and could build or fix almost anything. He was very proud to achieve his Class 1 licence and worked as a cement truck driver for many years. Dale had a generous heart of gold, never hesitating to lend a helping hand. He was strong-willed and stubborn at times and had a great sense of humour. Dale truly loved his family and friends and if you knew him, you felt it.
A Celebration of Life will be held on July 12, 2025, at 11 am at the Cranbrook United Church with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cranbrook SPCA or to Leslie Long Rescue
