Deanna Marie TEBBE

Deanna Marie (née Collinson) Tebbe passed away peacefully on December 1, 2025, in Fernie, BC. She was born on January 5, 1944, in Cranbrook, BC, and lived a life devoted to family, love, and community.

Deanna is lovingly remembered by her husband of 65 years, Frank; her son Jamie (Debra); daughter-in-law Cheryl; daughter Robbin; grandsons Tyrel and Timmy (Allyssa); and great-grandchildren Jarron, Jael, T.J., and Oaklynn. She is also survived by her brother Alan (Sharon), her brothers- and sisters-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, Cecil and Lillian Collinson, her son Tim, and her daughter Leanna.

Deanna grew up on the Collinson dairy in Slaterville and later in her family home on Theatre Road in Cranbrook. It was there she met the love of her life, Frank. The two married on November 10, 1960, beginning a remarkable partnership that took them to Houston, BC, and Inuvik, NWT, as they raised their growing family. They eventually settled in Cranbrook and later in Sparwood, BC, where they enjoyed their retirement years together.

Family was the heartbeat of Deanna’s life. After raising her own children, she poured her love into helping raise her great-grandchildren. Known affectionately as “Nana,” she cherished hosting big family gatherings—always believing that the more people, the more joy, and the more chaos, the better. Anyone without family nearby was welcomed with open arms; once invited, they were part of the family forever.

A celebration of Deanna’s life will be held in the Spring.
